I often mention the 5 steps to buying your brand new car and I have written a blog on each one going into a little more depth. Today we focus on number 1 - Things to think about when deciding on a new car.
This is the first point I always make to my customers, as I believe it’s the most important. You really need to think about what you will be using your car for and how you will be using it. You would be surprised at the number of people who regret a buying choice but are stuck for a few years with something that isn’t fit for purpose. There are a few points you should take into consideration when making your choice, I’ve detailed a couple of these for you below.
• What will you be using your car for?
o Will you be taking family pets in the car? If so you will need to think about the internal space, especially the boot, as it needs to have plenty of space especially if you have more than one. Lots of manufacturers websites contain internal dimensions – this can be really helpful.
o If you have children, the number of seats with seat belts in the back is of huge importance. Do you have Isofix child car seats? If so does the car have the correct mounting points for these? Again manufacturers websites will provide you with this information.
